HOW WE ARE ORGANIZED

  • We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are exempt from income tax and are able to receive tax-deductible charitable contributions.

  • We have a Mission Statement that is enclosed on all grant applications and is furnished upon request to any member of the public.

  • We have a Board of Directors, all of whom are required to sign our Statement of Faith. Board members are considered to be volunteers and are not paid for their services, nor are they related to one another.

  • We have Articles of Incorporation that are filed with the State of Ohio. They are important to protect both the Board and Staff from liability issues.

  • We have By-laws and a Policy and Procedure Manual. These help govern our organization and were approved by the Board early in our developement.

  • We maintain an Annual Budget, which is set every December and is revised every July. It is followed closely by the Executive Director.

  • We are accountable to a local CPA firm, as well as two outside umbrella agencies that perform periodic audits so that we can maintain financial integrity within the community.

  • We are fully funded by donations from churches and community members, and receive minimal state or federal funding, if any. Our pro-life status eliminates most governmental funding.

  • A center can have only one paid staff and all volunteers, or numerous paid staff and numerous volunteers. This hieracrhy is set by the Board of Directors.

  • Fundraising is a constant concern with any pro-life center.

  • The average tenure of a Non-Profit Director is two years.

  • The average lifespan of a Non-profit is three years.
